Every neighbourhood has one ... a notorious "murder house" which was once the scene of a brutal and bloody crime. If the walls of number 25 Cromwell Street had ears, what horrifying acts would they have overheard during the occupancy of serial killers Fred and Rose West? Brutal torture sessions and grisly murders were a regular occurrence. Even after the evidence has been removed and the perpetrators imprisoned or executed, an aura of horror, fear and disgust can linger on for decades. Houses of Death provides an incredible insight into ordinary homes and institutional buildings that have played host to extraordinary events. It explores the infamous buildings, the murderers and victims who called them ‘home’, as well as the bizarre and bloody events that took place behind their closed doors.

Included very famous crimes, such as the Manson murders, and some that are not explored very often. A good true crime book, with a lot of details. Spans a very wide time frame- from the 1800's to the last 20 years. Overall, worth the price and a good read.Product details

Houses of Death True Crime Book 5 eBook Gordon Kerr Reviews
I felt there was too much of an emphasis on prisons. I assumed by "houses", it literally meant houses. BUT that and some editing mistakes, a good purchase!
Lots of good stories, but the name does not fit?
I would recommend it. However, I would tell the reader that some stories are weak.
The link to the word "Houses," is a stretch!
Well written. This book gives you a look into some of the most bizarre murders ever carried out. Even though some are well known there are many others I had never heard about. I like the order of the readings as well. No one will ever understand how someone could take another persons life, but this book at least gives you some background on the killers and shows similarities in their upbringing.
Great product and very fast shipping.
Loved this book. Considering I love reading about serial killers and the occult this book is perfect for me. I enjoyed reading about peoples temple and heavens gate! Must read but its an ok book for starters
This was a very unique topic, very educational, and very sobering. Perhaps what amazed most was the realization of how long and how recently some of these events and conditions existed. It's a testament to man's inability to "rehabilitate" felons . . . and what they do when they get frustrated with their powerlessness. Yikes! Short, worthwhile reading.
This was a dollar well spent. Short true crime stories with much detail. My only complaint is the overuse of commas and some editing mistakes. Almost seems to have been written using Dragon Naturally speaking - the errors are mismatched words or words in place of words that sound similar. The editing aside, buy ut.. well worth the dollar.
